Mental Health First Aid

2 Day Course for Adults

Led by Lynsey Judson, a fully trained Counsellor and Mental Health professional, Unmasked offers an excellent and extremely valuable 2-day course for adults, resulting in an accredited qualification as a Mental Health First Aider.

It is legally required these days to have First Aid in the workplace, but in these modern days, Mental Health First Aid in that workplace is becoming equally critical. Internationally recognised, MHFA is a training course which teaches people to understand and spot the signs and symptoms of mental health.

Having taken the course and passed the examination (not too difficult), you will not only be the proud owner of the professionally recognised Mental Health First Aid qualification, but you will be armed with the skills and knowledge to understand and be able to assist with the Mental Health First Aid support of your colleagues.

This might include:

Assessment

A range of methods are used, including practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice).

Certification

A FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.
