Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that utilises hypnosis to induce a deeply relaxed state, enabling individuals to access their subconscious mind. This state of heightened focus and suggestibility can help address various issues, ranging from behavioural patterns to emotional struggles.
How Hypnotherapy Works:
During a hypnotherapy session, a trained hypnotherapist guides the individual into a state of deep relaxation. This relaxed state, often referred to as a hypnotic trance, allows the therapist to bypass the critical conscious mind and directly communicate with the subconscious mind. Through positive suggestions and imagery, the therapist helps the individual explore and reframe their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

Unmasked was initially set up by three friends from Halifax, who battled and overcame personal mental ill health issues. They wanted to give something back! Their goal was simple – to Unmask the stigma surrounding mental ill health, nationwide, and get people talking.
Now, they’ve passed the baton to a new Board of Directors and an Executive Team who are building on their legacy and goals and who are moving forward to make Unmasked a force to be reckoned with in combatting poor mental health in our region.
Our services are accessible to everyone, whether you’re an individual having a rough time, or if you’re an employer looking to give something back and look after your employee’s mental health and well-being.
